History of ICTRD
The Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD) was established in 2011 with a vision to drive technological advancement and societal progress. Headquartered at the ICTRD Secretariat and Incubation Centre in Nagpur, Maharashtra, ICTRD is committed to making a tangible impact through its extensive network of student chapters across colleges in Nagpur. With over 25,000+ students enrolled in its online programs and a strong community of 500+ members, ICTRD has significantly influenced the educational and technological landscape.
ICTRD is dedicated to fostering innovation and empowering the next generation of leaders. Our journey is marked by a series of impactful initiatives and projects, including providing essential technological support for examinations at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University (PAHSU) during the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to contribute to national development through our work on projects related to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, demonstrating our commitment to shaping the future of education in India.

ICTRD has been at the forefront of organizing influential events that inspire and empower communities. We actively promoted entrepreneurship and innovation through the Nagpur Startup Fest, which was India's biggest startup fest that was organized in two consecutive years and attracted a total of over 15,000 participants. The event successfully brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and innovators, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of growth and opportunity.
We also organized the Innovator Meet, featuring esteemed leaders like Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, further emphasizing our role in driving innovation and leadership. Our partnerships with IIIT Nagpur for events like Tantra Fest and with Aakar Bahuuddeshiya Gramin Vikas Sanstha to provide computer education to rural youth reflect our commitment to inclusive growth and community development.
We have also collaborated with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on the Mayor Innovation Awards, participated in BMC's "Smile" event, and organized round table conferences on startup development and safe digitalization. Our cultural engagements include participation in the Maharashtra Rajya Natya Mohotsav, and our MOU with Crowdera supports startup funding, reinforcing our dedication to nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

ICTRD actively works with government bodies to drive impactful initiatives that benefit society, demonstrating our commitment to public welfare and national growth. Minister Nitin Gadkari's active participation in ICTRD events highlights the strong support and trust we have earned from government and industry leaders. Our partnerships extend to initiatives that empower startups and youth, creating a brighter future through impactful projects. We continue to work with industry leaders, educational institutions, and government agencies, leveraging our networks to drive meaningful change and contribute to the nation’s growth.
Commitment to Excellence and Integrity
A testament to ICTRD’s dedication to integrity and quality is the development of the Trainee Identification Number (TID). This pioneering initiative, introduced in collaboration with the Consortium of Independent Institutions with e-Governance, provides a unique identifier for every certificate issued by ICTRD. This TID number is verifiable on the official TID website, ensuring the authenticity and validity of all ICTRD certifications. This system safeguards the credentials of our trainees and reflects our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in education and certification.
